Jason Meadows

°1972, Indianapolis, USA

The amusement park Plopsaland served as a source of inspiration for Jason Meadows. His attention was mainly drawn to the playful and colourful aspects of the park. The thought of an amusement park evokes images of a pony carousel with its typical architectural form, also often to be found in and on children’s toys. In this case Meadows particularly thought of the eight-sided black surfaces on a football. The result is a monumental construction consisting of three colourful multilateral kiosks, made out of steel with a wooden roof,  rising from the sand. They evoke pavilions or kiosks in gardens and city parks.
