Jacques Charlier

°1939, Liège, Belgium

The Belgian artist Jacques Charlier is familiar with various disciplines such as painting, sculpture, photography, video and poetry. He creates cubistic, futuristic and abstract works. Also biting humour and surprising paradoxes characterize his work. Both billboards show a naked woman and contain a message of general public interest. These ‘warnings’ are ironic allusions to existing coastal regulations.
