CROSSING

CURRENT LOCATION: YORKSHIRE SCULPTURE PARK, WAKEFIELD, UK

Nigel Hall

The conceptual work Crossing of Nigel Hall, which was put in the channel of Blankenberge in 2006, ended up in the Yorkshire Sculpture Park in Wakefield after Beaufort02. Crossing consists of two figures, closely connected to each other, one vertical, the other horizontal. In the Yorkshire Sculpture Park both sculptures are exhibited in open air, in the English garden of the park. The surroundings always play an important role in the works of Nigel Hall. In 2008 the park held a large retrospective exhibition on 40 years’ work of the artist.
